About the Company Abacus Auctions is a well-established auction house specialising in stamps, postal history, coins, banknotes, sporting memorabilia, and other collectables. We are currently seeking a talented and creative Web & Multi-Media Designer to strengthen our online presence and contribute to the continued growth of our digital platforms. Position Overview The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, producing and maintaining engaging print, digital & multi-media experiences that support the company’s branding, marketing, and online operations. This role requires a combination of creative design ability, technical knowledge, and strong communication skills. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design visually engaging & accurate print, digital, multi-media and website catalogues, layouts, graphics, banners, and other content
- Create concepts, structures, prototypes, and presentation materials for new projects
- Analyse user behaviour, communication objectives, and current industry trends to develop effective print, multi-media & online design solutions
- Work closely with management and internal stakeholders to identify project objectives and deliver practical design outcomes
- Prepare technical specifications, visual assets, and production-ready materials for website implementation
- Enhance website usability through effective selection of typography, colour schemes, media elements, and interface styling
- Coordinate with operational and production teams to ensure digital projects are delivered efficiently and to required standards
- Monitor website functionality and maintain responsive performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms
- Update and manage website content while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and visual quality across all pages
- Maintain organised records of digital resources, design files, and archived materials for future reference and business use Skills and Experience Required Minimum one year of relevant experience in web designing. Extensive industry experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
- Qualifications and skills equivalent to a Bachelor degree or higher qualification
- Strong understanding of responsive web design, user interface principles, and digital branding
- Proficiency in relevant web design and creative software applications
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team workplace
- Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities What We Offer
