Data Recovery Specialist (Glen Waverley)

**Job Overview**: **Key Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose and assess data loss issues across a wide range of storage media
- Perform **logical and physical data recovery** from damaged or corrupted devices
- Operate **cleanroom equipment** and tools (if applicable) to open and repair drives
- Utilize recovery software tools such as R-Studio, PC-3000, DeepSpar, etc.
- Rebuild RAID arrays manually for data recovery
- Identify data recovery success rates and advise customers accordingly
- Maintain proper handling and chain-of-custody for client media
- Prepare accurate reports on recovery process, success, and limitations
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client data
- Work collaboratively with other IT technicians on related repair tasks

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in **data recovery and digital storage repair**:

- In-depth knowledge of file systems (NTFS, FAT32, exFAT, HFS+, APFS, ext4, etc.)
- Proficiency with industry tools: PC-3000, MRT, R-Studio, GetDataBack, UFS Explorer, etc.
- Experience with **cleanroom environments** and delicate component handling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage client expectations and communicate complex technical information clearly
- Experience with Apple/Mac data recovery.
