Dental Assistant (Holsworthy)

**About Us** **About the Role** You will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.
- To be successful in this role, you will have:_
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.
- Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.

**About Holsworthy Health Centre** Holsworthy Health Centre is located 25 kilometres south-west of central Sydney. Located on a 20,000-hectare base, it comprises of a 41-bed inpatient ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Holsworthy base is also home to the Defence Force Correctional Establishment where detainees are visited by RNs daily. Standard hours of operation are generally 0730-1530 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).**About You** You have a professional and friendly manner and enjoy interacting with patients and assisting the dental team with a range of support activities. Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, you take pride in contributing to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and assisting your team wherever possible.
