Audit Semi Senior (Liverpool)

Audit Semi Senior Are you an Audit Semi Senior looking to build on your practice experience in a role that offers variety, support and clear progression? This is a fantastic opportunity for an Audit Semi Senior to join a growing audit team in Liverpool. You’ll support and deliver statutory audit assignments for a broad portfolio of clients, while benefiting from structured training, mentoring and long-term career development. The Role As Audit Semi Senior, you’ll work closely with seniors, managers and partners to deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting on statutory audit assignments for a diverse range of clients
- Supporting audit planning, risk assessment and fieldwork preparation
- Performing substantive testing and analytical review under supervision
- Preparing clear, well-presented audit working papers and files
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and supporting schedules
- Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve routine audit queries
- Working collaboratively to ensure assignments are delivered on time and to a high standard
- Building your technical knowledge through on-the-job training and structured development You’ll gain excellent exposure across sectors, with increasing responsibility as you progress. About You You’ll be motivated, detail-focused and keen to develop your audit career in a supportive environment. You will:
- Be studying ACA or ACCA (or planning to begin soon)
- Have experience in audit and/or accounts within a UK accountancy practice
- Understand the fundamentals of audit work, file preparation and deadlines
- Be confident using Excel and accounting/audit software
- Have strong attention to detail and valuable organisational skills
- Be personable and professional, with the ability to build client rapport
- Show a genuine desire to learn, improve and progress
