Mechanical Fitter (Liverpool)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy manufacturing environment specialising in plastic electrical components and switchgear. This is a hands-on role supporting both production and maintenance across a range of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:


- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plastic injection moulding machines (including Engel and Arburg)
- Support assembly and automated production equipment
- Maintain and repair John Heine presses, brake presses, and turret punch machines
- Diagnose faults across pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Assist with machine changeovers, installations, and upgrades
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Work closely with production teams to meet targets
- Follow all WHS and safety procedures Skills & Experience:


- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in manufacturing
- Experience with injection moulding machinery (Engel, Arburg highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience with press and sheet metal machinery
- Robust fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work both independently and within a team What’s on Offer:
