Catering HQ is seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our amazing kitchen teams at Club Parramatta and Castle Hill RSL. We have opportunities in our Function/Event Kitchens. THE BRAND Catering HQ is a family run company that was established in 1996. We currently have 17 fabulous venues across Sydney and Melbourne. We believe in striving for excellence at all times and pride ourselves on having an experienced and dedicated team who love their work and their work workplace. We are known for delivering high quality meals and exceptional customer service. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills
- Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
- Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
- Ability to contribute to menu planning
- Immaculate presentation and grooming
- Ability to handle large service numbers
- Exceptional customer care and service skills and knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
- Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
- Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
- Honest and results focused
- able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
- Should be able to control and manage daily kitchen functions KEY QUALITIES
- A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Be flexible with working hours
