Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Civil & Electrical Infrastructure Projects Sydney, NSW | Full-Time | Attractive Salary Package Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Estimator looking to work on some of the most critical infrastructure projects across Sydney? Our client is a leading civil and electrical infrastructure contractor delivering power, water, sewer, and utility projects for major government authorities, developers, and Tier 1 contractors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their high-performing commercial team. The Opportunity Working across a diverse portfolio of civil and utility infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, managing project costs, and supporting successful project delivery from bid through to completion. This position offers excellent career progression, exposure to major infrastructure works, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for civil, power, water, and sewer projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documentation.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing assessments.
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering initiatives.
- Assist with contract administration and commercial management.
- Monitor project budgets, variations, claims, and forecasting.
- Support project teams with procurement and cost control activities.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the tender and delivery phases. About You
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Commercial Engineer within civil infrastructure, utilities, or electrical contracting.
- Strong understanding of power, water, sewer, or utility construction projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Robust commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar.
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Excel. What's On Offer
