Centre Director – Lead the Foundation of a Recent Early Learning Centre Location: Glenroy
- VIC In partnership with Radical Recruitment, a newly established early learning centre near Glenroy is seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Centre Director to lead the centre through its foundational and growth phase. Catering to children aged 0–5 years, this service is committed to providing high‑quality, play‑based early education grounded in a strong understanding of early childhood development and best practice. Founded by an experienced early education professional with a strong community focus, the centre is built on values of inclusivity, meaningful family engagement, and authentic connection. The Opportunity This is a full‑time, permanent leadership role (Monday to Friday), offering genuine autonomy and the opportunity to shape the service from the ground up. This role is ideal for a Centre Director who is passionate about early childhood education and excited by the opportunity to build culture, systems, and teams with purpose. As Centre Director, you will have oversight of the centre’s operational, educational, and people leadership functions, working in close partnership with a supportive Approved Provider who values quality, innovation, and trust. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the long day care service in line with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Provide strong, visible leadership and guidance to educators, fostering a positive and high‑performing team culture
- Oversee occupancy, budgeting, wage management, rostering, and staffing costs
- Recruit, induct, support, and mentor educators, building a committed and engaged team
- Drive enrolments and marketing initiatives aligned with the service’s values and community presence
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and compliance of all stakeholders, including children, families, educators, and the broader community
- Maintain a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a NS / Centre Director role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with children, families, and professionals
- Thorough knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- Completed Child Protection Training and a strong understanding of child‑safe practices
