Cosmetic Formulator – Customer & Sales Support (Microbiome Focused) About the Role Are you a seasoned cosmetic formulator looking to step into a more customer-facing role where you can combine your technical expertise with innovation, customer support, and commercial collaboration? We are seeking an experienced Cosmetic Formulator to join our growing team in a customer and sales support focused role, helping support the development and commercialisation of cutting-edge skincare, wellness, and microbiome-focused products. This role is ideal for someone with strong formulation and technical knowledge who enjoys working closely with customers, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture, and helping brands bring exciting ideas to market. Key Responsibilities Technical Customer Support
- Support customers with formulation guidance, ingredient selection, and product development advice.
- Assist with troubleshooting formulation challenges and identifying suitable ingredient technologies.
- Provide technical support around microbiome-friendly formulations, postbiotics, fermentation-derived actives, and bioactive ingredients.

- Support customers through product development, scale-up, and manufacturing processes. Sales & Commercial Support
- Work alongside the commercial team to support customer enquiries, quotations, and project discussions.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for ingredient integration and future product development.
- Support customer relationship management and ongoing account development.
- Help translate technical capabilities into commercially relevant opportunities. Product Development & Innovation
- Contribute to formulation innovation across skincare, personal care, and wellness categories.

- Assist in evaluating emerging ingredient technologies and market trends.
- Support sample preparation, pilot work, and formulation optimisation where required. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D;, manufacturing, regulatory, quality, and operations teams.
- Assist in ensuring customer expectations align with manufacturing capabilities and commercial objectives. About You You are passionate about cosmetic science, innovation, and helping customers develop high-quality products. You may currently be working as a cosmetic chemist, formulation scientist, or NPD technologist and are looking to transition into a broader customer-focused role with strong growth opportunities. Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or qualification in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or related discipline.
- Experience formulating cosmetic, skincare, haircare, or personal care products.
- Understanding of emulsions, active ingredients, stability considerations, and formulation compatibility.
- Understanding of regulatory environments around cosmetic products
- Experience with stability testing, clinical and cosmetic trials, claims validation.
- Experience working within cosmetic manufacturing or contract manufacturing environments is highly regarded.
- Understanding of microbiome-friendly formulations, postbiotics, fermentation-derived actives, or bioactive ingredients is desirable. Skills & Attributes
