Overview Pedare is an R-12 coeducational Anglican and Uniting Church school in Golden Grove. We are committed to developing young people to make a difference in our local and global communities, and passionate about providing our students with the very best education. The Opportunity We are seeking expressions of interest for enthusiastic Casual OSHC Assistants who are passionate about working with young children and committed to delivering high-quality services to families. Reporting to the OSHC Director, this role focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can have fun and thrive. Responsibilities include assisting in program delivery, ensuring supervision, and maintaining a standard of excellence in safety and service. The Role
- Available to work regular shifts on a casual basis and flexible to work more hours across school holidays
- Immediate or negotiated start date
- Ensuring the safety of children
- Supporting the implementation and participation of children in programmed and spontaneous activities
- Assisting in creating a calm, positive, organised, stimulating, and safe learning environment
- Communicating with parents/caregivers in ways which build trusting relationships
- Assisting in managing the service routines in an efficient manner
- Working collaboratively with other staff to promote the College's values
- An ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships
- Excellent time management, organizational, and record management skills
- Flexibility and an ability to adapt and operate effectively in a changing environment What We Need
- A current South Australian Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- HLTAID012 / HLTAID004 OR willing to obtain
- Completed or currently studying a Degree towards Education OR holds a Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childcare Education (preferred) All certificates and qualification(s) must be provided to the College prior to commencement of employment; and the College requires the applicant to disclose any information relevant to their eligibility to engage in activities involving children and young people.
