**Position overview**: A full time Production Operator role has become available at our Wacol site. It is a position that offers progression, both in wages and job grade, as the person becomes more skilled in our processes.

**Responsibilities**: The successful applicant will:

- Operate plant equipment such as pumps, mixing vessels, dispersers, reactors, filtering equipment, DCS computer system.
- Pack and unpack products to/from containers of varying sizes.
- Ensure batch documentation, logs and checklists are filled.
- Follow operational procedures.
- Quality control testing of finished goods.

**Required skills and experience**: To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience working in a chemical industry or similar is preferred (exposure to QH&D;, Stores, Customer Service, Production activities).
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong commitment to safety standards.
- Good housekeeping skills with a focus on quality and systems.
- Able to work reasonable overtime as required.
- Current and valid forklift license would be preferred.
- High initiative and proactive with good rapport and ability to work with multi-functions.
- Exposure to Manual Handling, regular heavy lifting required up to 20 kg.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work in a small team.

**Qualifications**:

- High school or above.
- Certification or experience in complying with dangerous goods regulations and hazardous materials storage preferred but not essential.
