Junior Barista/allrounder (Lake Haven)

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated Junior Barista/allrounder who has left school and is ready to join our team at our kiosk. You are required to work weekdays anywhere from 6am-2.30pm and some weekends. As a Junior Barista (15-18), you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages, while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting. We will also need you to cook and prepare food when we are busy and assist to open and close the kiosk.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to our established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all beverages are made with high quality and consistency.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the coffee machine and other kiosk equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kiosk, including countertops, equipment, and utensils, in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with stock management, including receiving and organising supplies.
- Follow cash handling procedures, if required, and assist with payment processing.
- Help with restocking and organising ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other kiosk staff to maintain a smooth and efficient operation
- Cook and prepare food and ingredients.
- Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all customers.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in food and beverage service (not mandatory).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive and friendly attitude with a customer-first mentality.
- Ability to handle cash and perform basic transactions (if required).
- Good time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Flexibility with working hours for weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Availability to work Monday to Sunday and get to the store 5am (if needed to open the kiosk)

**Desirable**:

- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and different types of beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.).
- Previous barista or food service experience is a plus
