Description
Social-Native Videographer Talk Agency
- Full-time We're not hiring a videographer. We're hiring a content creator who happens to be brilliant behind a camera. There's a difference, and if you already know what it is, keep reading. The old model of video — polished, slow, precious, made in a vacuum — is dying. What's winning right now is content that's native to the feed, made by people who understand the platform as well as the craft. People who can shoot a thumb-stopping UGC piece on a phone in the morning and a beautifully lit brand film on a DSLR in the afternoon. People who think about the strategy the content serves, not just the shot. That's the person we're looking for. What you'll actually do
- Create content that drives real outcomes — social strategy, brand engagement, and UGC that performs — across some of our key clients and the Talk brand itself.
- Shoot fluidly across formats: traditional DSLR/mirrorless setups and smartphone-first production. You know when each one is the right tool.
- Work directly on Talk's own offerings — including new products we're bringing to market — so you're helping build the agency, not just service it.
- Travel up to eight weeks a year, around Australia and overseas, to capture content where it happens.
- Bring your eye to audio and/or podcast production (a real plus if this is already in your toolkit). You'll report to our Content Marketing Lead and work as part of a team that treats content as a growth lever, not a cost centre. Why this role is different You'll see your impact. Most creatives never find out if their work moved the needle. Here, your content is tied to measurable business growth — you'll know exactly what your work contributed, and so will everyone else. You'll build quick. This is a role for someone hungry. You'll stack up a portfolio, sharpen your skillset, and get reps across more brands and formats in a year than most people get in three. You'll shape what's next. As we launch new offerings, you're in the room helping define how they look and sound. That's rare, and it's a big part of why this seat is worth wanting. You're probably right for this if…
- You live on social and instinctively understand what makes content perform on each platform.
- You're genuinely strong in UGC and short-form — not as a fallback, but as a craft.
- You're equally comfortable with a full DSLR rig and a phone on a gimbal.
- You can self-direct: concept, shoot, edit, deliver. Often running solo without a producer or account manager alongside you.
- You're up for travel and the occasional adventure that comes with it.
- Bonus: you've got audio or podcast production chops. What we offer A team that takes content seriously, real ownership of your work, the chance to travel and create, and a front-row seat to building new things in market — all while you measure the difference you're making. We also get work-life balance and the burnout that the industry is known for. So we offer a ton of flexibility in working schedules, a hybrid model (2-3 days a week in the Gosford office for this role, the rest from home) and legitimate, fair time in lieu to balance against any work travel you're doing. Sound like you? Send us your portfolio (links, not just a PDF — show us the work in the wild) and a quick note on a piece of content you made that performed, and why you think it worked.
