HC Driver (Dandenong)

HC driver required for full time permanent position (also willing to pay on ABN) doing local semi tautliner work carting cardboard throughout Melbourne metro and Vic country. Start and finish in Dandenong daily. Minimum of 1-2 years HC licence experience is required for this position. Candidates must hold valid Australian work rights. Start time is 5am with the occasional 3.30am start Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday work. Must be able to reverse a trailer, must be able to read write and speak fluent English. Trailers are preloaded so you deliver to a customers site where they unload you with a forklift (no hand unloads) return to Dandenong with the empty trailer unhook from trailer and hook up to the next loaded trailer. Usually 3 to 5 loads per day depending on location of customer. Truck needs to be kept in a clean manner inside. Truck is 2017 Mercedes Actross Automatic. Start rate is $33.50 per hour whilst training and learning the job. Happy to review after 3 months of working if everything is going well. Normal probational period of 3 months still applies. Super will be paid on the minimal hours required by law for the first 3 months After you have settled into the job wage and Super will be negotiated (ie; Super can be paid on gross earnings or you might opt for a higher hourly rate with super being kept on minimal hours.). This will be discussed at time of interview with other financial perks on offer. The average day will be around 10 hours and overtime is paid at time and a half. There will be the occasional 6 hour day however you will be paid a minimum of 8 hours. (5am to 1pm). Saturday work is on a rotating roster if your up for it. Usually around 6 to 7 hours with a minimum of 6 hours will be paid. It is a very easy and non-stressful job and the right person will be rewarded along the way.
