Retail Sales Assistant (Calwell)

About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at Patto's Grog Shop in Calwell, ACT. As a full-time Retail Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a tidy and well-organised store, and supporting our sales and inventory management processes. What you'll be doing 1. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner, answering their questions and helping them find the products they need 2. Operate the cash register and handle cash and card transactions accurately 3. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for this position 4. Restock shelves and ensure the store is well-presented and inviting 5. Assist with inventory management, including receiving and processing deliveries 6. Provide excellent customer service and foster a positive shopping experience 7. Contribute to a safe and secure work environment by following all health and safety protocols What we're looking for 1. Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the liquor or hospitality industry 2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service 3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately 4. Enthusiasm for the retail industry and a genuine desire to help customers 5. A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks 6. A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or the willingness to obtain one 7.
