Located 45km north‑west of Griffith in southern Recent South Wales, JBS Australia's Prime City Feedlot is a 35,000 head capacity feedlot and a major supplier to the JBS Riverina Beef processing facility at Yanco. Employing approximately 35 team members, Prime City Feedlot has a solid reputation for producing premium quality grain‑fed beef. The 6,225 ha of dryland and irrigation farm on‑site at Prime City supplies the grain, silage and hay required for the cattle in the feedlot.
About the Role
The JBS Prime City Farm is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Farm Manager to join the team in a permanent full‑time capacity. Reporting to the Farm Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Land and crop preparation including all facets of row crop and broad acre operations
Operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment including broad acre and row crop implements, tractors, centre pivots and pumps
Irrigation operations
Assisting with staff and contractor supervision
Ensuring compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations
On‑site accommodation and company vehicle are provided.
About You
Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities
Machinery and plant operation experience
Ability to work independently and within a small team environment
Flexibility with working hours during busy periods
High levels of self‑motivation, initiative and enthusiasm
Ability to work remotely dependent on cropping programmes
Ability to work seasonal night shifts and split shifts
