Full Time Chef
SALARY range of $77,000 to $80,000 p.a. plus 11.5 % superannuation
DUTIES
preparing and cooking food, seasoning and portioning dishes as per menu and any specials as required
preparing food to meet special dietary requirements as per customer request
preparing ingredients as per the Chef instructions and requirement daily
examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment during cooking
portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
storing food in temperature-controlled facilities to ensure ingredients are stored appropriately
ensure all areas of the kitchen are cleaned to the highest standards
stock control management, replenishing and ordering stock as required
compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements
will be required to assist the chef with menus and estimate food requirements
will be required to train any junior staff and monitor the kitchen hand as required
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. Relevant diploma qualifications with minimum 3 years experience
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
3. Good communication skills
4. Time Management
5. Proven experience training and monitoring junior kitchen staff
