**Role Overview**

**Essential Knowledge & Skills**:

- Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Identify, isolate, and report defects or issues using defect tracking tools, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
- Participate in the analysis and review of business requirements, system design, and technical specifications to ensure testability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project objectives and requirements.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.
- Conduct test data setup and configuration to simulate real-world scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify areas for test process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Document test results, test reports, and test metrics to communicate findings and track the progress of testing activities.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a test analyst or QA analyst, preferably in software development projects.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficient in test case design, test execution, and defect management.
- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Experience in working with different testing techniques, such as black-box testing and white-box testing.
- Knowledge of test automation tools and scripting languages is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple testing tasks simultaneously.
- Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.
