Disability Support Worker (Casual) (Narre Warren)

**Job summary**

Bright Journey Disability Support Services is looking for an experienced, reliable, and empathetic female Support Worker who wants to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life. This role is located in the inner suburbs of Melbourne and surrounding areas.

**The role may involve**:

- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
- Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
- Transportation and social engagement
- Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Behavioural and Mental Health Support

**Essential criteria**
- Minimum Certificate III Aged Care and/or Certificate in Disability.
- Hands on experience in manual handling.
- An understanding of the disability/ community services sector and person-centred support.
- Transferable life/ work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- The legal right to work in Australia.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities.
- Current Working with Children check.
- Competent computer skills.

Pay: $38.00
- $70.00 per hour

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
