Service Engineer (Hallam)

Western Process Controls Pty Ltd (WPC) is a leading pressure management, valve and actuation supplier to the Australian Industrial markets, including Oil and Gas, Mineral Processing, Petrochemical, Water & Wastewater, Chemical and Power. We are currently looking for a Graduate Service Engineer to join the team in Hallam with an immediate start! This is a full-time chance within a team that pride themselves on industry best quality standards, and a fantastic working and safety culture. Over time you will receive mentoring, training and practical work experience in order to develop your skills and knowledge. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will be varied and will include, but not limit to the following duties:
- Provide technical and engineering support for customers and external sales personnel
- Prepare customer quotes for services and equipment
- Input customer purchase orders, and prepare internal job sheets ensuring the sizing and specifications are correct for each order
- Implement and maintain quality systems
- Excellent, professional communication skills, including customer contact The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
- Ability to develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of initiative, drive and self-motivation
- Previous experience with valves will be highly regarded
