Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC Installer – Transition Into Electrical Apprenticeship Company Manter Manter is a growing Melbourne-based electrical and renewable energy company operating out of Hallam VIC, specialising in:
- Split system air conditioning installations

- Backup generator systems We are currently expanding both our air conditioning and renewable energy divisions and are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC Installer who is wanting to transition into the electrical industry through an electrical apprenticeship pathway. The Role This position will involve working across both the HVAC and renewable energy sides of the business, including:
- Split system air conditioning installations
- Residential new build work
- Solar and battery installations
- Off-grid and backup power projects
- System commissioning and setup
- Rough-ins and fit-offs
- Working alongside qualified electricians on integrated electrical and HVAC projects This role is designed for someone who already has strong hands-on experience with split system installations and is looking to build a long-term career within the electrical and renewable energy industry. For the right candidate, the position will progress into an electrical apprenticeship pathway while continuing to utilise your existing HVAC and refrigeration experience. Required Experience Applicants must have:
- Experience installing split system air conditioners
- Completed Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprenticeship
- Current ARC licence
- Current driver’s licence (automatic accepted)
- White Card
- Strong work ethic and ability to work within a team Preferred but not essential:
- Experience with ducted systems
- Restricted electrical licence/disconnect-reconnect
- Interest in renewables and battery systems
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs What We Offer
