Hair Stylist/Barber (Hamilton)

We’re growing our team and looking for both a part-time hairdresser and a barber to join our space — individuals who bring great energy, strong skills, and values that align with what we stand for. Our part-time hairdressing role offers flexible, negotiable hours, with only one late night per week (finishing at 7pm) and a half-day Saturday roster. Pay is negotiable and based on your experience and skill set. We’re big on balance and creating a work environment that feels supportive and enjoyable. We are also offering a barber position, with flexibility for either part time employment or a rent-a-chair arrangement, depending on what suits you best. Pay or chair rent terms are negotiable and will reflect your experience, clientele, and working style. Sustainability is at the core of what we do, so it’s important that you share these values and are mindful of environmentally conscious practices in your work. For our hairdresser role, you’ll need to feel confident with short haircuts and have strong layering skills — we do a lot of mullets and shags, so loving texture and movement is essential. You should also enjoy working across both creative colour (funky, bold looks) and more natural tones like blondes and brunettes. For our barber role, we’re looking for someone who goes beyond traditional clipper work and skin fades. While shorter cuts are part of the job, a large portion of your clientele will be medium-length, textured styles — including mullets and lived-in, layered looks. Confidence with scissor work and shaping is key.
