Join our Brisbane airport team as a Chef in a permanent full‑time position. This hands‑on role helps keep the Australian aviation industry moving. As a member of our culinary team, you are responsible for creating delicious, high‑quality meals served onboard some of the world’s top airlines. Working as part of a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced commercial kitchen, you will prepare and cook hot and cold meals in bulk quantities. A typical day in the kitchen involves collaborating with colleagues, following strict airline menu specifications and recipes, and meeting daily production schedules. You will uphold food safety standards, maintain a clean and organised workspace, and adapt quickly to changing flight schedules and customer requirements. Every shift brings a sense of purpose, knowing that the meals you create on the ground elevate the journey for thousands of passengers in the air each day. You play an essential role in delivering a seamless inflight dining experience at 30,000 feet. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hot and cold economy and business class meals for domestic and international airline customers.
- Work to the menu specifications of each airline, ensuring ingredient accuracy.
- Assist the kitchen team in meeting daily production targets in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Minimise food wastage and ensure effective stock control.
- Maintain a clean and hygiene working environment at all times.
- Follow all food safety, HSE and hygiene policies, including HACCP, IFSA and QSA. Requirements
- Clear national police check.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial chef experience.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred but not essential.
- Passion and drive to deliver high quality food for customers.
- Flexibility to work a 7‑day rotating roster and availability to work 38 hrs per week.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, specifications and processes.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
- A team‑first mindset and willingness to support others.
