Assistant Accountant – Finance Operations NSW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Operations team in NSW. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounts processing and reconciliation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across the business.

You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of claims invoices, vendor administration, bank account management, and corporate card program support.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day finance operations activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

This position requires a high level of accuracy, organisation, and stakeholder engagement to support smooth financial operations across the group.

Key Responsibilities


- Process claims vendor invoices accurately and within required timeframes
- Create and maintain vendor records in D365
- Verify vendor bank account details using Verify Pay
- Manage vendor-related enquiries and finance inbox communications
- Perform bank account administration and weekly bank reconciliations
- Maintain bank account signatories, authorised approvers, and user access
- Administer the corporate credit card program, including:
- onboarding current cardholders
- monitoring compliance with company policies
- managing non-compliance actions
- Support the Finance Operations Manager with ad hoc finance operations tasks
- Assist with maintaining and improving finance procedures and documentation About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:


- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or Finance Operations role
- Strong accounts payable and reconciliation experience
- High attention to detail and strong accuracy skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
