Working under an experienced manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Taking responsibility for a client portfolio and cultivating value client relationships
- Applying knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry Working on a range of entities including companies, trusts, self-managed super funds, partnerships, and individuals
- Preparing the financial statements and tax returns for your team’s portfolio of clients
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff members
- Contributing to the ongoing improvements to processes adopted by the firm
- Providing support for ad-hoc special assignments and value-add work for clients, including business performance reviews, development of tax planning strategies and attending to estate planning matters and wealth preservation Our ideal candidate will have
- At least 3 years’ Australian experience in a similar role
- Commenced or nearing completion of CA qualification from CAANZ, in addition to a
- Business/ Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- Demonstrated experience in a Chartered Accounting Firm of a similar size in a professional services environment (business services or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; articulate and well-presented
- Attention to detail, the ability to self-review and perform quality control on work papers
