**About the role**: The Medical Advisory Unit provides expert occupational health services and advice to support the operational and recruitment activities of Victoria Police.

The core business of MAU is:

- Conducting Pre-employment Medical Assessments for Police Recruits, PSOs and PCOs.
- Direction to Attend the Police Medical Officer to assess members' fitness for duty.
- Drug and Alcohol Workplace testing of Victoria Police members.
- Specialist Group Medicals as per statutory requirements.
- Medical Advice Line
- 24/7 service that advises and supports members potentially exposed to blood borne viruses and other infectious diseases.

**Your duties will include**:

- Maintain reception in a professional manner and provide an informed, high level courteous customer service to all clients.
- Provide high quality administrative and management support to the Division including efficient preparation and management of manual and computerised records.
- Assist with the organisation of appointments, meetings, referrals and reports to support the provision of all clinical services.
- Complete correspondence, keyboard tasks, document movement and file security.
- Respond to requests for assistance or information from both internal and external clients in a professional and confidential manner in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
- May be required to undertake other duties, such as finance support tasks.

**About You**:

- Ability to provide professional reception and customer service
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and understanding of requirements to work effectively in sensitive situations.
- Ability to prioritise and produce accurate work within agreed deadlines operating under mínimal supervision
- Ability to provide administration support across multiple areas within the Division
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate and efficient office systems and records
- Keyboard and computing skills with experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
- An understanding of the customer service in a confidential environment

**Further Information**:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement).
- The position may require you to work outside the ordinary hours, and overtime will be paid in accordance with the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
- This position may require the incumbent to undertake physical activities (such as accessing files from a compactus).
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
