Learning and Organisational Development Consultant (CBD)

**About the Department**

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.

The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

**About the Division**

The People Strategy and Operations (VPS) division was established to:

- provide end to end people services to the department's 4,000+ VPS employees
- provide strategic workplace relations advice and support to the VPS and early childhood sectors
- manage corporate office working places and environmental sustainability.

**About the Role**

The Organisational Development team now has a VPS4 Consultant role in the Organisational Development (OD) Unit within the Capability and HR Business Partnering Branch of the People Strategy & Operations (VPS) Division.

The OD Unit has the responsibility for designing and delivering the department's people development, performance, culture and employee life-cycle initiatives such as:

- lead the department's corporate leadership and capability development programs aligned to DE's Strategic intent, Strategic Plan, and Leadership Charter
- lead initiatives to embed a culture of integrity and accountability aligned to the public sector values, across all areas of the department
- provide strategic advice and support to the corporate areas of the department in organisational capability, culture, effectiveness
- support best practice induction, performance management and recognition strategies and processes.

**VPS4 Learning and Organisational Development Consultant
- Ongoing**

This role contributes to the successful delivery a range of learning and organisational development (L&OD;) programs. This includes contributing to the work associated with and supporting all learning and development initiatives and include stakeholder management, co-ordination and reporting of L&OD; activities.

This role will work closely with Senior Learning and Development / Leadership Development and Organisational Development Consultants (VPSG5) in implementing high quality, practical and effective L&OD; approaches across the department's corporate areas.

To be successful in the role, you will be solution and client focused and can be relied on your problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Your capacity to establish and maintain productive relationships within the department and external organisation will also be vital, along with your critical thinking who embraces innovation and continuous improvement. A robust attention to detail, being positive and motivated to be a part of a fast-paced environment are also paramount.

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience**

Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification Human Resources (Learning and Development / Organisational Development) and/or

Relevant tertiary qualification in Organisational Psychology
