Civil construction manager required for leading Victorian construction company

Our client has a Victorian brand that has been synonymous with the Victorian construction market for 50 years. An experienced upper management group, a diverse business operating across various sectors within the civil construction market all adds to make this a fantastic opportunity. **Your new role**

You would be leading the civil side of the company. One of 4 different departments, this business unit has not only a strong pipeline of work coming up, $35m in hand across 9-15 projects at any one time, there is huge scope and appetite for growth. Overseeing a team including 4 estimators, 6 senior PM's and PM's, and a host of engineers and site people, the role will require someone to have the personal and people skills for this level of management. You will be responsible for making sure both the estimating teams and delivery teams are driving forward successfully. Our client requires someone that has the experience or capability to do so, obviously prior experience in such a role would be preferred.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will be a people person that can communicate, motivate and drive a team through the good times and the challenging times.

Ideally, you will have: 10 years+ in the civil construction industry

Civil Engineering Degree

Prior civil project experience in small to medium-sized projects from $1m
- $15m, roads, landscaping, services etc

Understanding of the Victorian unions ideally

Experienced delivering civil works as a subcontractor to major builders, as well as principal contractor

Strong communication and team building skills

Ability and experience in managing a large team of people

Experience in managing a unit of tendering and delivery, or the ability to step up

Able to commute to eastern suburbs office **What you'll get in return**

Salary; $220k
- $240k+ super+ vehicle
