We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager who is ready for their next career step and excited by the chance to embrace a unique remote coastal lifestyle. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a genuine passion for exceptional guest experiences. Your authentic leadership style, combined with a proven ability to drive operational excellence, will be key to your success in leading high‑performing teams and delivering outstanding service standards. Set in an unbeatable beachfront location, K'gari Beach Resort is accessible by 4WD and is the east coast’s gateway to the island’s most iconic natural attractions. The resort features 83 hotel rooms and apartments, along with a restaurant and bar, the renowned Eurong Bakery, and a general store, all set across expansive island grounds. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity for someone seeking more than just a job — offering a genuine lifestyle change, with relocation to our on‑island staff village. Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Resort’s Food and Beverage outlets
- Directly manage McKenzie’s Restaurant and the Eurong Bakery
- Lead and inspire teams to deliver exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences
- Build and maintain a strong, positive team culture across all Food and Beverage operations
- Maximise profitability while maintaining high service and quality standards
- Ensure customer needs and service expectations are consistently met or exceeded
- Ensure all team members are trained to the required standards
- Support, coach, and develop team members across all areas of the operation What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and engage diverse teams
- Proven work ethic with the ability to motivate others and achieve results
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to perform under pressure
- Confident in delegating, negotiating and managing day‑to‑day operations
- Exceptional grooming and professional presentation Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage Manager or similar role
- Current QLD RSA Certificate and sound knowledge of QLD Liquor Licensing Laws (essential)
- Food Safety Certificate (essential)
- RMLV Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Competent in barista, beverage, à la carte and bar service
