Cleaners (Fraser Coast Regional)

Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer’s strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high-quality services at scale. Commencing in August 2026, we currently have an chance for Cleaners to join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland’s national portfolio, located at Hervey Bay Town Centre, Pialba. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities. What You’ll Do
- Perform routine cleaning of facilities, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitise high-touch areas and replenish supplies as needed.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with safety guidelines.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow health and safety procedures while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining a professional approach. What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in cleaning roles across commercial, residential, or similar environments.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals (use of polishers, scrubbers and buffers highly desirable).
- Understanding of workplace health and safety and basic sanitation practices.
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow procedures, communicate effectively, and report issues as required.
- Must have Working with Children’s Check or be willing to obtain.
- Prepared to undertake necessary pre‑employment checks which includes National Police Check and medical.
