As a Medical Receptionist, you will be at the heart of our patient experience, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Our clinics in Hervey Bay are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team. This is a Full Time position, working across our clinics in Maryborough, St Stephens Hospital and Fraser Coast. You will be rostered for shifts between 7am-8pm Monday to Friday with optional weekend work available.

Role Overview Patient Interaction Greet patients professionally and courteously. Assist patients with appointment scheduling. Explain intake forms to new patients. Administrative Tasks Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently. Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing). Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, DVA and Workcover. Handle internal emails and inquiries. Maintain a tidy reception waiting area. Collaboration Work autonomously and as part of a team. Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously. Confidentiality Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality.

Qualifications and Skills Excellent telephone manner for handling internal inquiries and appointments. Robust verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Intermediate computer skills.
