Disability Support Worker Highett

Male participant currently has available work for:

Fortnightly Friday 6:30pm-10:30pm

Fortnightly Saturday 1pm-5pm

The support provided will be both in home and community based. Duties include;

In Home support:

Support with household duties

Support with personal care

Support cooking

Support with homework

Support teaching life skills

Administer medication if required

Duty of care to the wellbeing and safety of the participant

Community Support:

Support with transport

Support in social outing

Support to participate in a community group/club

Support with any personal care while in the community

Support teaching life skills in the community

Cash handling support in the community

Administer medication if required

Duty of care to the wellbeing and safety of the participant

Also disability support workers are required to do the following administration duties;

Write case notes at the end of each shift

Write incident reports if required

Fill out Km log sheet, timesheets

Fill out and sign medication signing sheet if required

Communicate with the office there availability and any changes

All staff a required to have internet access and a mobile phone.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

Certificate IV in disability or relevant experience

Current first aid and CPR certificate

Working with children check

NDIS orientation module

NDIS worker screening check

Full drivers license and insurance on car

Fully vaccinated

Infection control training

Experience:

Certificate IV in disability or relevant experience

Ability to work independently

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to show empathy

Cash handling skills

Job Types: Part time, Casual

Pay: $40.00
- $42.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

First Aid and CPR (preferred)

Working with Children Check (preferred)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)

Driver Licence and Insurance (preferred)
