**The role**
As our Risk Remediation Assurance Manager, you’ll be at the centre of a major transformation program, helping uplift A&G;’s risk culture and setting the foundation for sustainable growth across the business.
You’ll partner with leaders across the organisation, challenge the status quo, validate critical program deliverables and ensure every workstream hits the mark. Your insights will directly influence executive decision-making and shape how risk is managed at scale. **Position Accountabilities**
Day to day you will:
- Build and roll out a clear, consistent and practical assurance approach that guides the program from start to finish.
- Review, challenge and elevate the quality of project artefacts to facilitate end user adoption. This includes policy, process, procedural, training and other guiding materials.
- Assess in-progress activities, spotting gaps early and helping teams course-correct before issues arise.
- Proactively identify quality risks and recommend sustainable, forward-looking mitigation strategies.
- Lead pre-vet checks of closure deliverables, ensuring they meet the true intent of program requirements.
- Collaborate with workstream leads to resolve issues and embed better, stronger ways of working.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights through regular reporting to the PMO and senior stakeholders.
- Champion continuous improvement, refining assurance practices and lifting quality across the entire program.
**What experience you’ll bring**
- 5+ years in risk, assurance or audit within a complex, APRA-regulated financial services setting.
- Hands-on experience supporting or assuring large-scale risk uplift or remediation programs.
- Strong capability in setting quality standards and assessing documentation and outcomes with a critical mindset.
- A knack for identifying issues early, partnering with stakeholders, and guiding teams toward practical solutions.
- Ability to juggle changing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timeframes.
- A proactive approach to identifying emerging risks and shaping strong, thoughtful mitigation strategies.
- A continuous-improvement mindset and the confidence to influence at all levels of the business.
**Location -Toowong**
Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.
