Senior Fraud Analyst (Toowong)

Senior Fraud Analyst (Toowong)
Description
About the Role As a Senior Fraud Analyst, you will be at the forefront of protecting our genuine customers and ensuring fair outcomes for all policyholders. This critical role involves maintaining and enhancing sophisticated fraud detection models designed to identify and prevent both opportunistic fraud and the more intricate schemes orchestrated by complex fraud syndicates deeply embedded in supply chains and logistics. Your day-to-day will be dynamic, blending hands-on analytical work like conducting rules engine-based claim reviews and in-depth reviews of complex claim matters, with strategic contributions such as leading threat assessments for the wider business. You'll also play a vital role in our ongoing education efforts, presenting insights to academies, frontline teams, and corporate stakeholders, and continuously reviewing fraud typologies for effectiveness. Your work directly combats cost leakage, playing a vital part in reducing insurance premiums for honest customers and preserving the availability of affordable insurance options. You'll be instrumental in challenging the notion that insurance fraud is a victimless crime, demonstrating its profound impact on individuals, families, and the entire insurance ecosystem. Beyond the models, you will be a key driver in uplifting fraud detection capabilities across the entire organisation, from frontline staff to corporate employees, and will coach and mentor intelligence analysts within your team. You'll also extend our reach by collaborating with industry partners like the Insurance Council of Australia's ICINA to collectively combat fraudulent activities. Position Accountabilities
