**The Role: Compounding Technician
- Pharmaceutical**

A great opportunity has become available for a **Compounding Technician** to join our team in our **Coorparoo** facility in a **Full-time permanent position**, working one of three available shifts rostered between **7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday to Friday with flexibility to perform overtime as required**. In this role you will be responsible for the aseptic production process
- manufacturing Chemotherapy, Antibiotics and Nutritional products for our hospitals and patients. This includes preparing and compounding sterile medications and solutions according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality.
**Shifts available currently**:Monday
- Thursday 09:54 to 18:00, Friday 10:30
- 18:36**

- Thursday 12:30 to 20:36, Friday 10:30
- 18:36**
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Picking and preparing raw materials
- Aseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutions
- Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products
- Labelling and dispatching of prepared products
- Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Adhering to Baxter’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Other duties as required
**Essential skills & qualifications**
- Enjoy work that requires a high attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Adapting to shift work schedules as needed
- Providing assistance in environments with defined procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Be comfortable working within a cleanroom environment for most of your working day
- Executing repetitive results in a consistent and accurate manner
- Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Experience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing would be an advantage
- Tasks involve manual repetitive handling and dexterity
- Previous manual compounding experience highly regarded
- _ A pre -employment medical including stringent vision screening (GMP requirement), background and reference checks._
**Note: Training/orientation will require flexibility for approx. 3-5 months with shift times ranging between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.**
