Pricing Actuary (Toowong)

**The Role**: As a Pricing Actuary, you'll play a pivotal role in conducting technical actuarial rate reviews, managing pricing changes, and ensuring the integrity of our pricing structures. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid grasp of statistical modelling techniques.

**Accountabilities**:

- Lead end-to-end rate review processes, including data analysis, modelling, implementation, and monitoring.
- Contribute to the development of new products, crafting pricing strategies, and evaluating pricing structures. Proactively address performance issues, automate reporting processes, and communicate findings to senior management.

**Knowledge and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the general insurance industry.
- Actuarial qualification or nearing qualification (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in statistical modelling techniques and software (e.g., EMBLEM, Radar, Python, R, SAS, SQL). Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial studies, or related field (Actuarial qualifications preferred).
