- Based at the vibrant and picturesque UQ St Lucia campus About This Opportunity At UQ College, we open pathways to education and opportunity for diverse learners across Australia and the world. We are now seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our close-knit and collaborative new Projects, Data and Systems team and lead the delivery of complex, high‑impact programs that strengthen operational performance and support the College’s strategic direction. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will provide end‑to‑end program leadership across multiple streams of work while driving continuous improvement and contributing to the uplift of organisational project and program management capability. You will also lead the delivery of a structured continuous improvement and operational capability uplift program across functions and systems, with a strong focus on embedding data-driven practices and advancing AI capability and adoption across the organisation. A key outcome will be about embedding new sustainable approach to training and support for key systems and processes. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the design and delivery of complex, multi‑stream programs aligned to UQ College’s strategic priorities.
- Driving a structured continuous improvement and operational uplift program, including process optimisation, standardisation and automation initiatives.
- Overseeing program governance, assurance, risk management and executive‑level reporting.
- Building organisational capability in program delivery, data literacy, digital tools and AI through coaching, frameworks and practical playbooks. - Postgraduate qualifications, or equivalent extensive experience, in program or project management.
- Proven experience leading complex or high risk, multi stream programs within large or matrixed organisations.
- Strong capability in developing and managing integrated program plans, interdependencies and sequencing.
- Demonstrated success delivering continuous improvement or operational uplift initiatives at scale.
- Experience identifying and implementing digital, data or AI enabled solutions to improve performance and decision making.
- High level stakeholder engagement skills, including providing strategic advice to senior leaders.
- Well-developed leadership capability, with experience mentoring and developing delivery staff.
- Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Applicants should also hold a current Blue Card prior to commencing at UQ College or have an applicating pending. Staff will be required to work 38 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm Mon-Fri and will, on occasion, be required to work additional hours outside of these. Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks, and other role-specific requirements such as Blue Card checks. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
