Accounts Receivable Officer (Hobart)

- Tassal is proudly Australia’s leading seafood producer and an industry leader in aquaculture. We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team based in Hobart. This opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion and sits within a capable, collaborative and high-performing team environment. This role would suit someone confident operating in a high-volume, fast-paced receivables environment with strong stakeholder and customer engagement capability. This is not a purely transactional accounting role. While technical AR fundamentals are important, the role is heavily relationship and outcomes focused
- involving direct customer engagement, collections activity, dispute resolution and proactive cash flow management. What does your week look like?
- Managing customer invoicing, collections and aged debt across a high-volume portfolio
- Building strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across Sales, Operations and Finance
- Following up outstanding payments and proactively managing collections activity
- Investigating and resolving account discrepancies, disputes and short paymentsMonitoring aged debt and supporting healthy cash flow outcomes
- Performing reconciliations and ensuring accurate cash allocation across systems
- Supporting month-end processes and receivables reporting requirements
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with the wider Finance team to ensure compliance, accuracy and robust service delivery standards What’s in it for you?

- Previous experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit or Collections in a high-volume setting
- Strong customer and stakeholder management capability
- Confidence managing collections conversations professionally and effectively
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong Excel and systems capability
