Providing high‑quality Social Work support that empowers consumers and carers while upholding SWSLHD standards and professional practice. Role In this role, you will work within the specialist Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit at Liverpool Hospital, providing Social Work services to clients living in the community. You’ll collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team to support individuals with brain injuries in achieving meaningful recovery and improved quality of life. Key aspects of the role include:
- Providing instrumental social work services to clients living in the community with a brain injury.
- Working within the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (community) at Liverpool Hospital.
- Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including allied health, case managers and medical staff.
- Supporting person centred, evidence based interventions to optimise each client’s psychosocial outcomes.
- Contributing to a positive, dedicated, and supportive team setting. You Will Thrive In This Role If You Are

- Independent in managing your workload while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

- A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated experience in a health‑related field and ability to provide a range of Social Work interventions.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary Team.
- Evidence of commitment to clinical supervision and professional learning.
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills (written and verbal), computer and prioritisation skills.
