- 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Role: Architectural Draftsperson Position: Full Time Permanent Salary: $75,000 TO $85,000 per annum plus 12% super Location: Hobart, TAS 7000 About the Role A architecture firm is seeking an Architectural Draftsperson to support the delivery of residential and commercial projects. The role involves preparing architectural documentation and assisting the design team across all project stages. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural sketches, mark-ups, and design instructions to prepare accurate working drawings, sections, elevations, and detailed construction documentation for residential and commercial projects using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and coordinating 3D BIM models using Revit to support design documentation, ensuring integration with consultant models and preparing presentation drawings and visualisations as required.
- Prepare and compile project schedules (including doors, windows, finishes, and materials) to support construction documentation and procurement processes.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and other consultants to clarify technical details, resolve drafting queries, and ensure accuracy and consistency of documentation.
- Ensure drawings and documentation comply with relevant Australian building codes, standards, and project requirements, and assist in the preparation of documentation for planning permits and development applications.
- Update and revise architectural drawings and BIM models in response to design changes, consultant feedback, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records, including drawing registers, revision histories, and document control systems, in accordance with quality assurance procedures. Skills & Qualifications
- A relevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting or Technology
- Minimum 1 year full time experience in an architectural drafting or similar role
- Advanced experience in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong knowledge Enscape or Twinmotion
- Strong understanding of architectural documentation and construction processes
- Relevant qualification in Architecture or Drafting Other Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
