**What you can expect in a day in this role**: Our security officers play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all. This position goes beyond traditional security duties, requiring genuine engagement with guests to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and staff. We are seeking a guest-focused Security Officer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Security & Surveillance Shift Manager, this role is responsible for the safety of our property, employees, and guests. You will need to be flexible and available to work across a 24-hour roster, including night shifts and public holidays.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

- Patrolling the premises and interacting with guests
- Enforcing rules and property protocol
- Collaboration with law enforcement if needed
- Assist with report writing and incident writing

**What you will bring to the role**: With a genuine passion for people and a strong focus on their safety and wellbeing, you’ll bring a friendly, approachable personality and a calm, confident presence to every shift.

We’re looking for someone who has:

- Relevant experience in security and crowd control as well as current Security Guard, Crowd Control and unrestricted driver’s licences
- Proven skills in conflict resolution and negotiation as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and confidence using standard systems
- The ability to obtain a Tasmanian Security Gaming Licence (at your own expense)
- Flexible availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
