Kingston, Tas Part Time Nanny (Hobart)

A loving family in Kingston, Tasmania are seeking a calm and nurturing nanny to assist in the care of their 15 month old baby boy.

The days and normal hours are:

- 2 days
- 10 hours per week (Between Mon-Fri)

Additional hours may be required from time to time in the evening and if the nanny is available.

Long term the hours are likely to increase to 3 full days.

An ideal nanny would be warm, calm and responsive. A nanny that is also friendly, happy and interested to actively engage in indoor and outdoors activities with the baby which will aid in his growth and development.

The family is looking for someone who is organised, trustworthy, responsible and reliable and is able to care for the baby throughout the day and follow routines.

Prior experience or professional qualifications working with young babies is highly advantageous for this role.

**The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows -**
- To care for the baby
- Follow the baby’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the baby’s development.
- Take the baby out for walks/to the park /playground, activities etc
- Prepare meals and snacks for the baby
- General tidying up after the baby and light household chores

The family’s expectations from their nanny are
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualification preferred but not essential
- Young baby experience
- Have a current first aid certificate
- Have a current Working with Children’s check
- Display solid communication skills and speak English.
- Non smoking
- Comfortable with dogs the family have two lovely dogs (Boxer and Westie)
- Basic cooking/prep skills
