About the role

Price Cutters is looking for friendly, confident and customer-focused team members to join our Eastlands / Rosny Park and Hobart CBD stores. This is a varied retail role with a strong focus on professional haircare, beauty products, body jewellery and customer service. For the right applicant, the role may also include training and development in body piercing services. The position may involve shifts at either our Eastlands / Rosny Park store, our Hobart CBD store, or across both locations, depending on roster requirements, training needs, the successful applicant’s availability and business operations. You do not need to already be an experienced body piercer to apply. We are looking for people with the right attitude, presentation, reliability and willingness to learn. Previous experience in retail, customer service, haircare, beauty, body jewellery or piercing will be highly regarded. What you’ll be doing

- Assisting customers with professional haircare, beauty and body jewellery purchases
- Providing friendly, confident and helpful customer service
- Learning about premium haircare brands and recommending suitable products
- Maintaining high standards of store presentation, merchandising and cleanliness
- Processing sales accurately through the POS system
- Restocking shelves and helping keep the store well organised
- Answering phones and assisting with appointment bookings
- Supporting body jewellery sales and piercing-related customer enquiries
- Assisting with appointments, client preparation and aftercare advice where trained and appropriate
- For suitable applicants, undertaking training in body piercing procedures, hygiene standards, jewellery selection and client care What we’re looking for

We are looking for applicants who are:
- Friendly, reliable and well presented
- Confident communicating with customers
- Interested in haircare, beauty, body jewellery and/or piercing
- Able to provide helpful advice and build rapport with customers
- Willing to learn new products, procedures and services
- Able to follow directions, policies and hygiene procedures carefully
- Calm, professional and mature when dealing with clients
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy retail environment
- Flexible and available to work a range of shifts, including weekends, public holidays where required
- Available to work at Eastlands / Rosny Park, Hobart CBD, or across both stores where required Previous experience in retail, customer service, haircare, beauty, body jewellery or piercing will be highly regarded, but full training may be provided for the right person. Body piercing training

Price Cutters offers body jewellery and piercing services across our stores. For suitable team members, this role may include training in:
- Client consultation and aftercare advice
- Body jewellery selection, sizing and product knowledge
- Piercing room preparation and hygiene procedures
- Assisting with piercing appointments
- Learning safe, professional and consistent piercing procedures
