Matcha Bar Team Member (Casual) A new specialty matcha bar is coming soon to the Hobart waterfront, and we are looking for warm, reliable casual team members to help bring it to life. Our focus is easy: beautifully made ceremonial-grade matcha, prepared fresh in front of customers, delivered with genuine hospitality and consistent standards. We are currently in the pre-development stage and not open yet. This means the right people will have the opportunity to be involved before day one, helping us shape the customer experience, our service style, and the way the store feels from the moment we open. The kind of person we are looking for: You are warm, friendly, and naturally enjoy working with people. You take pride in making customers feel welcome, you stay calm when things get busy, and you care about the small details that make a store feel special. You are reliable, well-presented, and happy to work as part of a small team. You bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and an appreciation for quality, presentation, and customer experience. A genuine interest in matcha and specialty beverages would be highly valued. You do not need to know everything from day one, but you should be excited to learn and be part of something new. What you will do Before we open
- Assist with launch preparation and store setup
- Learn our service style, drink preparation methods, and store standards
- Help prepare the space so it is ready for opening
- Contribute to creating a warm, polished, and welcoming customer experience Once we open
- Prepare matcha beverages and light menu items to a high standard
- Provide warm, friendly, and productive customer service
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
- Help with restocking, stock rotation, and general day-to-day store tasks
- Work closely with the supervisor and wider team to keep service running smoothly
- Support a positive store atmosphere and deliver a great experience for every customer Must-haves
- At least 1-2 years of hospitality or customer service experience
- Warm, confident, and friendly communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Genuine interest in matcha and specialty beverages
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays
- Food Handling Certificate
- Full working rights in Australia
- Comfortable on social media and willing to help create occasional content, including short vlogs and behind-the-scenes moments Pay and hours

- $33.19 to $39.83 per hour + super
