Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll assist patients, visitors, and staff while helping prevent, identify, and respond to incidents across a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This role offers variety, responsibility, and purpose. From customer service and patrols to emergency response and critical incident support, you’ll help protect people, property, and wellbeing—delivering calm, professional, and respectful security services where it matters most. As a Security Officer with South Western Sydney Local Health District, you’ll deliver highly visible security services through foot and vehicle patrols and control room operations, helping to maintain a safe and secure hospital setting for staff, patients, and visitors across the campus. You’ll play a key role in conflict resolution and emergency response, responding calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and working closely with clinical and operational teams to prevent escalation and ensure safety at all time. - Current NSW Security Licence in accordance with the NSW Security Industry 1997 Class 1A, First Aid Certification and Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
