Fire Electrician (Hobart)

Due to continued work and growth, we’re looking for an experienced Fire Electrician to join our team. The Opportunity This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys a mix of installation and service work, takes pride in doing things properly and can plan and run jobs end-to-end. You’ll liaise closely with the General Manager, Designers, Fire Electrical Supervisor and Service Administrator and you’ll be supported to deliver secure, compliant and efficient outcomes on site. What you’ll be doing
- Install, commission and service fire electrical systems, including exit & emergency lighting
- Manage jobs end-to-end: planning, scheduling, on-site delivery, handover
- Interpret scope, plans and specifications and keep works moving efficiently
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation (commissioning data, service reports, field reports, drawings/walkabouts)
- State-wide travel as required What you’ll be responsible for
- Deliver compliant installations and servicing on time and on budget
- Work safely and in line with Parmic’s OH&S;, EBA and Quality requirements
- Support field teams and subcontractors with technical guidance and teamwork
- Flag issues and inefficiencies early and work with the Fire Electrical Supervisor to resolve them
- Support and oversee apprentices/trade assistants as required
- Keep up with CPD requirements and maintain required records What you’ll need (essential)
- Cabling Provider Registration
- White Card
- Proven experience installing/servicing fire detection/protection systems (incl. exit & emergency)
- Strong working knowledge of relevant standards, codes and compliance requirements What we’d love you to have (highly regarded)
- A Grade Electrical Licence / relevant trade qualifications
- First Aid / additional OH&S; training
- EWP / HRW WP (boom-type) ticket
- Solid industry background and good physical fitness What will make you a great fit

- Confident with documentation and basic systems/programming/admin (Word/Excel helpful)

- Interested in improving methods, efficiency and safe work practices Standards & compliance exposure (advantage)
