UI/UX Designer Intern (Hobart)

Cyberhaven Technologies is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer Intern to join our team on-site at our Hobart office. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a real, confidential commercial platform currently in active development — a structured investment decision-support tool that combines financial data analysis with an intelligent user experience framework. About the Project You will be working on a highly confidential fintech platform that integrates a proprietary investment analysis framework called InQ (Intrinsic Quality) into a rich, data-driven user interface. The platform is designed to help investors identify, interpret, and act on high-quality investment opportunities through clear visual signals, adaptive filter systems, scoring frameworks, and guided decision environments. Your work will directly shape how users experience complex financial data — turning numbers and analysis into intuitive, visual, and decisive interactions. What You’ll Work On
- Designing wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity mockups for a multi-tool investor platform
- Translating complex financial filter systems (such as dynamic P/E ratio sliders with colour-coded guidance zones) into clear, intuitive UI components
- Designing visual scoring displays, InQ alignment indicators, and behavioural coaching prompts within the platform interface
- Creating responsive layouts optimised for both desktop and mobile
- Collaborating directly with the backend developer and project lead to ensure design intent is accurately implemented
- Contributing to the overall look, feel, and usability of the platform from wireframe through to final design handoff What We’re Looking For
- Currently studying or recently completed a degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or a similar design tool
- Strong understanding of UX principles, information hierarchy, data visualisation, and responsive design
- Ability to design for data-heavy interfaces where clarity and visual guidance are critical
- A portfolio demonstrating UI/UX or interaction design work — student and personal projects are welcome
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
- Ability to work on-site at our Hobart office throughout the internship What You’ll Gain
