Add expected salary to your profile for insights With more than 225,000 members we've been a part of the Tasmanian community for 100 years – we're Tasmania's shoulder to lean on and voice when it matters. Our values guide us in all that we do – Engage with Heart, Unleash Potential, Walk the Talk and Together we Thrive. With our local knowledge and as the state's number one brand we're here to support our members by helping them enjoy life, giving them a helping hand and making their money go further. About the role: We're looking for an experienced Experience Designer to join our Experience & Loyalty team on a 12-month parental leave contract. This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact on how Tasmanians experience one of the state's most trusted brands. Reporting to the Head of Experience & Loyalty, you'll lead human-centred design across RACT's digital and physical member touchpoints. Bringing together CX and UX expertise, you'll ensure our member experiences are intuitive, accessible, and meaningful. You'll work across a variety of projects — from loyalty program design to organisational transformation initiatives — applying research-led, evidence-based design practices to deliver outcomes that matter. What you will be doing: Leading comprehensive member research to uncover pain points and drive measurable improvements in NPS and digital engagement Designing and facilitating workshops to develop customer journey maps, empathy maps, service blueprints, and jobs-to-be-done frameworks Developing UX wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mock-ups to bring user flows to life across digital platforms Conducting qualitative and quantitative research and presenting insights to executive leadership Representing CX in cross-functional projects, ensuring member impacts are considered throughout RACT's transformation roadmap Designing and prototyping loyalty program mechanics across digital and physical channels Mentoring colleagues and embedding CX/DX best practice across teams Advising on future products, services, and partnerships based on member and community needs What you will bring: Minimum 5 years' experience in CX/UX, with at least 2 years leading cross-functional design initiatives Expert-level proficiency in Service Design, Design Thinking, and Lean UX methodologies Relevant qualifications in Service Design, UX Design, or an equivalent field Proficiency in industry-standard design tools including Figma and Adobe XD Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable design decisions Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills — you're comfortable presenting to executives and workshopping with frontline teams alike The ability to work autonomously across multiple concurrent projects A genuine passion for creating experiences that make a difference to real people At RACT, we're not just a workplace – we're a community. When you join our team, you become part of something bigger. Your ideas and the work you do will help shape our community and environment. Here's why you'll love being part of our team: Staff discounts: Enjoy significant discounts on RACT home and car insurance, and free Ultimate Roadside Assistance. Wellbeing leave: Three days of Wellbeing Leave available per year that can be used however you wish. Superannuation contribution matching: For every dollar you contribute to your superannuation, we'll match it up to 2%. Career growth: We invest in your development because your success is our success. Flexible work: Life isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is our work. Balance your life commitments with our flexible work workplace. By joining RACT you'll be a part of an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity – every individual is valued and respected.
