Maintenance Officer Hobart

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining all marine assets across our Tasmanian locations.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a energetic environment, carry out maintenance work and support ongoing projects reporting to our Maintenance Manager. The full time position is located based out of a Margate site.

What does a typical week consist of? Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance on vessels and equipment to prevent issues and correct any that arise. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems to maintain peak performance. Site Travel: Traveling between various sites to conduct maintenance work and support project activities. Team Collaboration: Working closely with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance. Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Spare Parts Management: Sourcing and managing spare parts inventory to ensure availability when needed.

What will you bring to the team? Mechanical and Hydraulic Aptitude: Robust skills in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic systems. Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of *V electrical systems is preferred. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail. Team and Independent Work: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Safety Commitment: Robust commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures. Welding and Fabrication: Proficiency in welding and fabrication skills.
