The Team The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) plays a critical role in supporting patient flow and the efficient delivery of care across the Royal Hobart Hospital. The Inpatient Services Unit (IPSU) is a key part of this function, providing essential administrative and clerical support that underpins safe, timely, and effective hospital operations. Working as part of a broader multidisciplinary workplace, the IPSU collaborates closely with clinical, non‑clinical, and operational teams to ensure accurate information management, coordinated patient journeys, and responsive service delivery. The team is focused on continuous improvement, data quality, and maintaining high standards that directly contribute to better outcomes for patients and the Tasmanian community. Role As the Quality and Training Coordinator, you will support training, onboarding, and quality assurance activities for clerical staff within the Inpatient Services Unit. Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day quality control activities and ensure service delivery standards and objectives are consistently understood and achieved.
- Deliver training, education, and onboarding for staff, ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and business processes.
- Provide expert advice to staff on data collection, documentation processes, and quality requirements.
- Undertake quality assurance activities to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve data accuracy and operational practices.
- Prepare reports and contribute to service improvement initiatives to enhance patient flow and administrative efficiency.
- Support change management activities and implementation of process improvements across the service.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical, non‑clinical, management, and finance teams. Qualifications
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and confidently engage with a broad range of stakeholders across clinical, non‑clinical, and management teams.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, using initiative, judgement, and discretion to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- A commitment to training and staff development, with the ability to deliver clear, practical guidance and support to build capability in others.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills, particularly in relation to data accuracy, documentation processes, and compliance with standards.

Details of Appointment Permanent full‑time, day‑worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. Salary Pay range: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum, plus a 12% superannuation contribution. Benefits
